Bathroom Décor

The bathroom is one of the most inexpensive rooms to decorate. Because bathrooms can often be small, the selection of the color palette is very important. Light colors will make a bathroom appear larger, along with large mirrors.

The shower curtain is usually the focal point in bathroom décor. It will be the predominant source of color besides the walls. Towels and rugs should also be considered in the color palette. They don’t all have to be the same color, but a decided three or four colors with a pattern that ties them all together will look the best.

When arranging the items, consider ease of use. The towel rack should be near the shower and the hand towel rack should be by the sink. Extra towels can be rolled up and displayed in a basket or on a vintage vanity. At least one rug should be in front of the tub and if there is room, one in front of the sink and one in front of the toilet.

Accessories are the finishing touch, toothbrush holders and soap dispensers will get used frequently so splurging on some really attractive ones will be worth it. Candles can also soften up a bathroom. Also consider one or two simple pieces of artwork to display to tie everything together.
